Parasound's new amp by John Curl is out and it's reviewed in this months STEREOPHILE. It's an 81lb solid state amp,  STEREOPHILE measured it's output at 545 X 1 @ 8 cont (Parasound rates it at 400?) Class A up to 30 watts, 135 amps Anyway, MF (reviewer) loved it and basically said it was as good as any amp he's heard. He said it was equal and maybe better than his Nu-Vista amp which is something he never says. It's retail is $6000 pair which is big $$$ to me but cheap compared to some of the amps they compare it to. I'd bet it would be fantastic with VMPS RM's.

I somehow thought the JC -1 (JC stands for John Curl btw, as in the same John Curl, the legend the C in CTC Blowtorch).

Josh? You somehow thought what?

John Curl worked with (for) Mark Levinson (the man) before he sold out his company and name, and developed a very nice pre-amp for ML.

I don't think that JC and ML get along very well these days.

JC is a friend of Brian Cheneys too BTW.
