Actually, I was talking to one of the teachers yesterday about designing a speaker as a classroom activity- something that could be done quickly in class in about 2 hours. Small full range would be perfect for that... especially to see the effects of OB vs. porting vs. sealed, recess mounting, or maybe even transmission line. The teacher could precut the boxes, the students could assemble, line the cabinets, solder, and test.
But aren't you on the other side of the world from Texas? I shudder to think what shipping would run.
However, if we start trying to sponsor hundreds of speaker projects, the scope of the program may have to be rethought. The old saying is, "Be careful what you ask for, you might get it."
