Music Reference RM-9 tube amp, original version, 100 watts per channel. Comes with Sovtek EL-34 output tubes and Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8 miniature tubes. Easily accessed bias and balance controls on top of chassis, uses LEDs to assist adjustments.

Although not an ideal match full range, it is powerful enough to drive my Infinity RS-4.5s to surprising levels with output taps for 8, 4 and 2 ohm speakers. The amp can use EL-34, 6550 or KT-88 output tubes-- re-biasing is all that is needed to switch between these tube types.

Unit is in good basic condition but shows its age (it is serial number 44). With older units like this there are always quirks. This amp has a mechnical noise coming from the power transformer; it is clearly audible when I stand next to the unit but is barely audible from my listening chair. I have spoken with Roger Modjeski at Music Reference about this and replacements are available if this noise bothers you.

Although not shown in pictures, I do have the tube cage and it is in good shape.

I do not have a shipping container for this amp but I will double box. I have the Collector's Edition Owners Manual which includes a schematic.

Asking $900.  I am located in Northern Virginia USA.  I will pay for ground shipping and insurance to anywhere in the lower 48 states, USA only.
