I tried xxhighend this weekend and have been very surprised by how much better it sounds than foobar 083 (with src) even with vista upsampling the output of xx to 24/96 from 16/44.1 it is a big improvement over foobar (to these ears and in my system anyway). I have laptop usb off ramp and pacecar. I just wondered if anyone else has had the same experience. xx costs money and the user interface needs some work but for the sound quality who cares !.
