Is $400 a fair price for used 2M Zu Libtec speaker cables?  Anyone interested?

I sold a 2.5m pair of Libtecs for $275 shipped...and that was before the economy tanked...and Zu had their Christmas sale.  But thats just me.

$400 is too much.

If I recall correctly, I paid $325 for a 3M pair of Libtecs about 6 months ago, but I didn't spend a lot of time or effort negotiating.  The Zu Christmas sale I think was better or about the same, so I probably overpaid.  But that's life sometimes.

Thanks, guys.  I was offered a pair for this price, claiming original price of $1000.  Sounded reasonable, but I wanted to see if I could resell for the same price if they didn't work for my system.  Looks like Agon prices right now are in this ballpark (40% of new retail), but they're probably inflated and not likely to sell based on what you've indicated.

If you buy the Libtecs retail then they are $1000. The disconnect is that Zu used to have these Christmas sales that knocked sometimez 50% off the price.  They also sometimes had some sweet EBay deals, so that's why they were selling new for $600 rather than $1K.

But recently Zu decided to go to a dealer only model, they had their last Christmas sale ever (or that's the claim) and so you'll never see a Zu direct deal again.
