Up for sale is a Melody Hi-Fi I880 tube integrated. I purchased this unit new and picked it up in person from the US distributor. The amp is in excellent condition and was run for about 3 months. I liked the amp so much that I upgraded to a Melody I2A3 amp. This is a incredibly well built amp with massive transformers, that also looks great. Check out the reviews.

Nice amp Santacore. 
I'm familiar with I2a3 but never heard I880. Can you tell us the difference between these two?

Hi Marlusz,

Functionally the amps are the same except the with the exception of the output tubes. The I880 is a KT88 based amp that's rated at 50wpc. The I2A3 is a 18wpc 2A3 based amp. In terms of sound the I2A3 is more refined with slightly better bass control. The sound stage is slightly bigger and overall it's more euphoric, although far from syrupy, the Melody gear just doesn't go that way. The I880 has a bit more punch and rocks a little more, because of the tubes and increased power. The internal part quality is a bit higher on the I2A3. The I2A3 is much more expensive.

^^^ for a great integrated. I just check this again and there is a balanced input in addition to the SE inputs. I blew that when I posted the original ad. That's on of the reasons I purchased both the I880 and the I2A3 in the first place. Duh Great sounding and looking balanced tube integrated.
