Apple to now offer DRM-free music.

This was probably the best announcement yesterday. 100% of their library will be DRM-free at 256 kbps up from 128 kbps. Still not CD-quality, but a step in the right direction.

Yup yup good news, plus they are going to lower their song pricing and going to make itunes accessible for other mp3 players, great move.  I guess competition is forcing them to do so

I was disappointed with the way you have to upgrade your current music.  You upgrade all your purchases or none.  My family uses my account and they don't care about bitrate.

You can know upgrade tracks individually.

I just looked at the individual songs and none of the songs from my albums are in the list.  Thanks for the thought.
