Readers Choice?
« on: 7 Jan 2009, 02:41 pm »
Hi guys and gals!
In this months issue you all got to read what our ‘Products of the Year’ were, what about you?

I had a really hard time making the choices.  I loved the Monica III DAC, the Fritz Frequency loudspeakers that I use, as well as nOrh ACA2b that I practically stole from a pawnshop.  In the end I picked the Ideal Innovations product largely because of its affordable customizations and out of the box simplicity.

This post is for the Readers Choice awards.  So do you have something that just shines above and beyond what you would expect for the price you paid?  Let us know, I am interested in your opinions too.

I would like to ask manufactures not to use this as an opportunity for advertisements.  If you are a manufacturer feel free to let us know about your favorite product that you don’t build.  If Fritz loves his Vista Audio Integrated then let us know, but we already know he loves his Carbon 7s….

One last thing, no flames please!  Let’s keep this positive and helpful.

I haven’t run this idea past Mark. This is not an official A$$A sanctioned posting just something I have been thinking about for the last few days.

Thanks in advance for sharing,
Jeff Brown

FU 80 by Shuguang is the story :) I heard it in China, massive amp and power.

and here's the amp that they came out of:

reported to be 200+ watts per Channel SET. I thought it was was some sort of vintage Chinese power gear, upon closer look realized it was a brand new amp. 3 pieces in a rack, power supply, pre-amp and power amp. Sounded really awesome.

I can get them, but Rachel vetoed it for GF :(

Cheers,
Ian

Maybe I can get the neighbors to go in on it and heat their houses too :)
