The Man-Cave got flooded!!!

Bummer!!! A water line burst over my man-cave and everything got soaked!  I hope my amps and receivers will be OK once they dry-out. I'm not sure about some drivers I had though. They were face-up and held water like a cup. I had 2 woofers out of a set of old Bose 501's and some RS 40-1354's. Any advice on what happens when a speaker gets wet??? How about insurance claims on vintage stuff??? Fortunately my Pioneer SX-1010 and my JBL L40's are upstairs so they're safe and sound.
Any suggestions are more than welcomed!

Turn it all in for a claim. Get what you can. Later-purchase something you've been wanting.

A water line leaked into my man cave.  Fortunately it happened during construction of the house and wifey was there doing some painting and so heard water running.  Caught it before any permanent damage was done to the ceiling/recessed can light fixtures.

Be prepared to do some homework to convince the insurance company what you're stuff was worth.

I totally know what you're going through. Mine was mother nature this summer, JLM came over and saw the after damage. My insurance only paid out 5,000 which was very little considering our finished basement was reduced to cinderblock and cement slab.

Luckily, didn't lose any equipment and maybe a handful of records.

We have a sump system and after this midwinter thaw, the sound of it pumping is music to my ears.

Best of luck!
