J-Low Jordan JX92S

Happy New Year to all.

I've started construction of the Nelson Pass J-low horns to use with my Jordan JX92S drivers.  As Nelson mentioned in his article it will take the strength of Hercules to move one of these things if built of 3/4" MDF.  Even Baltic Birch construction would be too heavy for my liking.  I'm going to build these in three pieces:  the center, which will include the back chamber, and then a lower and upper section which each contain a section of the rectangular horn mouth.  Seems to me that there is no reason to build the horn mouths out of 3/4" material other than to adequately support the heavy center section which I calculate will be 60 or so pounds.  It's not a pressurized box at the mouths.

Any input would be welcome.
