I'm using an ATV and it sounds very good. I liked it better than the Wadia i170 transport. I also had it connected to my Plasma TV which makes music searching easier than looking at an iPod. I'm currently using the Wireworld SUPER NOVA 5+ Optical Digital Cable. I'm also upgrading my DAC. I'm going to buy the Empirical Audio Pace Car 2 to put in between my ATV and my PS Audio Ultralink (Modified by Cullen Circuits). Hope this helps.

I think it belongs in the Apple forum...I wonder if the original poster put it in the wrong forum?

The Apple TV looks interesting to me though.

It's pretty pokey as a music server though...

What you really want is a new HP touch smart, running Zune software
with a ZunePass.  I've been a loyal apple fan for 25 years, but this is
way more interesting than iTunes.

Much easier to navigate, easier to sample music and the touch
screen makes it almost as good as a sooloos for $1100.

I hope you plan an article about the hp/zune. Always good to know whats out there. How big is the music library you are running through this?

cheers,

I switched over to Mac last year and got a black Macbook...which I love.  I'm more interested in the Apple TV for video but would probably play a bit of music through it too.
