I have tried several indoor antennas and found the amplified TriQuest 8040 the best so far. Big Lots has it for $9.99. The RCA I had, which cost me $40.00 wasn't anywhere near as good. HD Radio & TV require a clean signal to work properly.
BTW: My favorite HD Radio shelf system is the Polk HDX3. I received one as a Christmas present and am overwhelmed by the quality/price ratio.
