This could be very good as Bryan Singer directs it and the screenplay is by Christopher McQuarrie.  These two were the brains behind the Usual Suspects.  But Tom Cruise??  What a let down...

My wife and I saw it last weekend. I'm not a huge Tom Cruise fan. I think of him as an OK actor. Maybe its the whole 'superstar' thing I have issue with

When it comes to the movie, it wasn't bad at all. Interesting plot that wasn't too overdone, no quirky sub-plots or love interests that plague so many movies, decent choices for supporting actors, cinematography was good, decent writing. It's pretty solid all the way through. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

One thing I'm grateful for is that Tom Cruise didn't try to do a German accent through the whole movie. The movie starts with him narrating while writing a letter and thinking in German (with subtitles). Then they make a smooth transition to English where they stay for the rest of the movie. I thought the non-German accent would bug me after watching the commercials but it didn't.

just my 2 pence......but hey, don't take my word. I still enjoy Judge Dredd  I am the Law

In general it's pretty good.  But.... Tommy is just Tommy; his acting repertoire is limited to those few facial expressions.  It could be better, but.... I'd give it 2.5 to 3 stars. :icon_lol:

Well, if drmatics are preferred, should see Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler.  My money is on him for the Oscar.  I'm voting for Mickey over Clint even.

really good movie, very accurate and the part where cruise is executed (oops, did i spoil it :duh:), is really intense.  his last words really stick in your mind and very powerful.  i thought that was his best scene in the movie.  very moving and powerful.

Being familiar with the original story surrounding Hitler's assassination attempt, I was intrigue to see this film.
Well, in short - it doesn't reflect the enormous secrecy and sacrifices which lead to this would be the greatest assassinations of all time.(Except Julius Caesar and JFK - given unanswered  surcomestances).
Also the magnitude of "SS", its internal affaires and brutality wasn't even close in comparison to the actual facts.
As a teen, I had a chance to visit the "Wolf's layer" and it is massive. Now, there is nothing but ruins but still.....the remainings can tell the story. Here are some flicks if you like the subject. (movie rating - 3 out of 5 stars)

okay, my apologies, but c'mon everyone knows the plot never succeeded, so what do you think would happen to the one who orchestrated a treason attempt on the biggest tyrant in mankind history!!!!
