The original amp dates back a good number of years, apparently to the 70s. I think the power rating is 125 wpc, and it seems to peform at the level. Has a good basic design, and now with many upgrades, most of which are evident in the photos. Upgrades include:
--Power supply transformer
--Almost every capacitor, which is why there are so many polypropylenes and modern electrolytics.
--Some resistors
--RCA's and Binding Posts
--Power Cord (Nice hard-wired, teflon-insulated.)
--Bypass caps added
I like the sound of this amp a lot, and it's worked fine with both solid state and tube preamps. Selling because I have a pair of Heathkit AS-1340 speakers. Each speaker has 15" woofer, 2 mids, 4 tweets; and does better with a much bigger amp. (Had a modded 300wpc Adcom that did a fine job, but lacked the sound quality of this LNF-1.)
Chassis is tall and of full width, but only about 8 inches deep, so it has a small footprint.
$260 obo.
