Any suggestions for a reliable DVDR/VCR? Samsung is out of the question; I've had three w/ transport problems.  :duh:

One issue nowadays is, Do you want a tuner? Because believe it or not, most do not come with tuners! So this is the first step in your decision.. :duh:

My Panasonic DMR-EH75V has worked great for a couple of years now.  They have a newer model with a digital tuner but the stupid #@%*&&%$#@*^'s took out the hard disk.

Much appreciated, guys. I am looking at a Panasonic TV, so this may be the way I go.

I personally use a cheap Emerson brand one. It works great, bought it back in '04 and it is still working awesome. I gave it to a friend whose dvd player quit on 'em so I am looking for another Emerson or other brand, was thinking about a Samsung but hearing ya say you had three with issues I think I will just stick with Emerson. It worked with several different TVs, plus hooked up to my stereo so I am happy with that. :)

Stay away from Samsung.
