FS: Jean Marie Reynaud Twins MK2
« on: 25 Dec 2008, 07:05 pm »

For sale is a pair of Jean Marie Reynaud Twins MK2.

Not shown, but the speakers do come with the front covers.  A few of its legs/pegs are loose though.

Condition: the speaker's cabinet definitely shows its age.  It has some minor scratches here and there.

I've upgraded to a pair of Evolution 3s.

Now for sale on Audiogon.

A picture of the rear.  Note the left speaker is missing a screw on the rear baffle.

Edit: Found the screw.

Great price for these!

I owned the Twins years ago and remember them fondly.
They get tone and harmonics right.  The warm rich and textured sound is engaging and gets right to the heart of the music without worrying about audiophile tricks.  If you prize this, consider these!

I agree.  I went through a virage of speakers, many of which were quadruple the price, but none struck me as musical.  I gave up trying to find a pair I liked and just settled for a monitor that was inexpensive.  Who knew it turned out to be the best out of the bunch.  I've upgraded to the Evolution 3.  The Twin still has more of a natural resonance that is easier to listen to and easier to get "into" the music.
