I haven't tried the colored ones, but I have used a lot of the plain silver Mitsui discs. They're very good. If I recall it was Tyson who said that's what the Library of Congress uses (not the colored but the plain).
That's an exceptional price. I usually get mine from
http://store.yahoo.com/cdrdvdrmedia/cdr.html
and
http://store.yahoo.com/cdrplanet/index.html
, but that's a bit cheaper yet.

That is a damn good price. I've never tried the colored ones but I might have to, at that price.

I have a nice Denon CD-R deck, but I never use it. All my burning is done with Nero for Redbook & MusicMatch for MP3. So I use 80 minute data discs, usually Sony or Mitsui. Although I also like the black Prodisc's with the silver top.
BTW, those black/black ones look very cool, but how the hell would you know which side to label?

Just checked the link you gave, Duff. The discs are only $30, but they want $11.50 for shipping!
Are they sending 'em by taxicab!?
Guess it ends up $2 cheaper than the other site, though.

I collect (legal) live recordings on CD, so I've been through a few spindles. I highly recommend that you check out Am-Dig at
http://www.american-digital.com/
. Between Mitsui, Taiyo Yuden, and TDK you can do very well there. I like to stick with the "branded" CDs, since the branding includes a protective coating on the face-up side of the CD. They have lots of jewel case options, as well...
I have no affiliation with them other than the fact that I've been a customer for a while.

Thanks a million, JackStraw! I've emailed every CD-R supplier I use trying to track down the new printable Gold Mitsui discs with no luck, but the site you linked has them in stock!
You da man!
