I just installed Squeezecenter 7.3, and instead of the generic music notes image I have the album art.  This is a nice surprise.   :thumb:

I've always had album art with the Duet remote.  Are you storing yours in an odd way (perhaps named cover.jpg instead of the standard folder.jpg or embedded in the mp3)?

Weird!  I should clarify that I've been using iTunes to burn cds to apple lossless.  (I know, EAC to flac is probably the more audiophile way to do it, but iTunes is handy).

You know, that was one of the only things that annoyed me about the Duet with iTunes.  That, and the fact that when I run the microwave the wireless signal is cut.  I haven't intentionally done anything odd with how the files are stored.

Hmmm..I never rip CDs using iTunes, but I do use iTunes to put stuff onto my iPod and I know that it wants cover art to be embedded in the mp3 itself, so I expect that's where it puts it.  I have always ripped with EAC and added album art as folder.jpg files in each album directory.

I thought the Duet could already read embedded cover art, but maybe that's a new feature in 7.3.

The album art is great.  As are the radio station logos, seemingly no matter where the station is from.  I'm using mine with my old SB2s.  No difference in sound, but tremendously cool!

P.S. Hey BradJudy.  Many thanks for selling me the extra boards!

In what way do you consider cover.jpg to be odd?

That is a perfectly acceptable way to handle album art depending on how you name and store your albums.

I have all of my album art stored this way and have no issues with it.

This is exactly how I do it as well

When I was originally deciding how to store my album art, I discovered that some programs would look for folder.jpg, but not cover.jpg.  That was a while ago, so I don't remember which programs and I don't know if that is still true of those programs.

It's cool that the album art even appears in internet radio stations, as well.  That's not new to you guys either?

Come to think of it,  I remember trying to resolve the album art issue when I first got the Duet.  Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what I did to try to fix it but I'm fairly sure that I didn't actually change any of the settings.  It's possible I messed something up, but in any case I haven't had any album art in Squeezecenter until now.

So, I take it nobody who uses iTunes to rip cds had this issue besides me? I guess it's a non-issue now; I'm happy to have that off my to do list.    :D

Cover.jpg is a default in Squeeze Center.  Hardly "odd" at all.

From the settings/behavior page:
"By default, images named "cover.jpg", "folder.jpg", "album.jpg", or "thumb.jpg" are used."  I had issues with album art only because I use cue sheets (i.e rip full flac albums with cue files associated) but I simply name my jpg the same name as the flac or cue file.  it works fine, as does imbedding using MP3tag (nice free program).
