I'm using the Denon DL-160 with mine.  It is not an ideal match.  The low mass of the tonearm coupled with the low compliance cartridge contributes to a resonance problem that I ameliorated with 2 Herbie's Halo tonearm dampers.  I think you would be better off with a mid to high compliance cartridge.  John Casler has the right idea.

I can get V15III in like new condition from my analog source for reasonable price if it is the best choice.

I never compared the two, but I do use a Goldring 1042 in a low mass tone arm (8 g) and it works perfectly and never mistracks. I like it's sound too - everything is evenly balanced with extended bass and highs with a smooth midrange. Keep in mind that the 1042 has a Fritz Gyger S shaped stylus so vertical tracking angle has to be adjusted so the cartridge base is parallel to the record, this is much more critical than with a standard elliptical stylus.

I have read that review but can't comment on its accuracy since I have no experience with cartridges mentioned in the article. I owned (still do) Goldring Eroica which was stock cart on my MMF 7 turntable.
Is there any resemblance between those two???? Just curious.

Sorry, never heard an Eroica. I have only compared the 1042 to a Sumiko Talisman Alchemist I, the latter has a tipped up high end and probably not the best match in the low mass arm.

that is very helpful......the stock cable looks quite worn out and I feel it is time to do something about it.

As much as I would love to keep this vintage rig as close to original, I also want it to look good, sound good and provide many years of service.

V15 would add charm to Lenco/SME3009 II Imp. combo and I might go with that recommendation.
It isn't my only analog rig and its purpouse will be to complement the vintage system I am trying to put together.
