3b st and 3b sst differences
« on: 16 Dec 2008, 09:36 pm »
Is there a big difference between the st and sst series? Also, will
my vintage Nakamichi 410 preamp work with the 3b?
I see some pre-owned 3b st's at very attractive prices.
The sst series is a bit expensive for me.

I have a very modest 2 channel system using Maggie MMG's.

Thanks,

Hi Al,

Yes there was a major change with the SST Series so definitely try to get an SST over an ST.

Not to start an argument with James : ) but the ST is still a mighty fine sounding amp. if that is all the budget allows I don't think you can do better.

Thanks very much!
Is my Nakamichi 410 OK to use as a preamp?

I appreciate the advice!
