Blackbelt TV

Not cinema related but for the lack of a better circle I thought I'd post my question here. Does anyone have this new channel yet and if so, what are you getting it on? :o I just discovered this channel on my large C-band satellite dish and it's been years since a new channel was made available via the Motorola's 4DTV digicypher system, and it's unscrambled at that. This channel is not available yet on DirecTv. For those who want to know more about this 24/7 channel, go to www.blackbelt.com . It's kicks, flicks, and chicks. :thumb:

It's been around for a while.  AFAIK they were strictly an internet TV channel up until last year.  Back then it seemed like they played "Blade" and "Passanger 57" several times a week, week in and week out.  There wasn't much in the way of programming back then.

Guess the channel is trying to go mainstream and get included by the cable companies. Motorola's digicypher is (or was) the standard for the cable company's cable boxes before the development of the digitally compressed "little dish". New channels popping up on my C-Band system is unheard of nowadays so this one caught me totally my surprise. Thanks for the info. :D

Robin

I remember reading about this 6-7 years ago...they had bought up (or claimed they did) a ton of rights from old Hong Kong kung fu movies and were poised to go.  They were even written up in the Wall Street Journal, but then they seemed to have disappeared...

I get it on Fios TV.  I watched one really badly dubbed Hong Kong movie where a carriage driver (really a stud fighter) falls in love with a whore who's really a princess down on her luck, one girl's TKD competition where one girl just kicked everybody's ass, and briefly some bimbo (showing a lot of T and A) introducing programs like Elvira did with monster features.  3 times in about 3 years -- that's about right for me.
