Hey guys, just need some fodder regarding a purchase I made and perhaps a future upgrade even before the product arrives.
My question is I'm running a fairly SOLID all parasound system. Recently rounded out the system with the Parasound C/BD2000 Belt-driven transport and have been reading alot about DACs. In the spirit of keeping it all in the family I found a Parasound Ultra2000 DAC, which is en route as I type.
My quandry is there are 3 DACs specifically I've been looking at; however, the argument seems to come back to how well the 2000 DAC is built despite it only doing like 12/44 or 48. I've been looking at the Musical Fidelity A3.24, perpetual technologies and MSB DACs but again have been told that some 24/96 upsampling units don't sound near as good as the 2000?
If anyone can provide any personal experience with the 2000 or shed some light on limitations or performance, I'd really appreciate
thanks
