Based on your experience, can you recommend a knob that would match my Purity preamp?  Presently have gold because that is what Bill had in stock and he is getting some silver for me.  We looked at Bubinga knobs but they didn't light my fire.

Well, in my opinion: the wood used for the faceplate already has a lot going on, so I'd go with either something light, like maple or something really dark like Gabon ebony. You can always use aluminum for possition markers if you like.
