Beautiful transmission line design.  Very natural and open sounding.  The tweeter is a work of art, the woofer carbon fiber.  They retailed for $2600, need to make room and would rather not ship.  They are heavy! Link to an interesting article on Buggtussel and Dr. Blair the builder.http://www.stereotimes.com/speak032902.shtml.

Would like to get in the $600 range. will deliver or meet in the NY, NJ, Phila. area. Live in the Pocono's

I own a pair of Buggtussel Circa's (2-way bookshelf) and they are amazing.  It's too bad they stopped making speakers.

I have really enjoyed these, and I have owned a lot of speakers. The only speakers I have owned longer were KEF 103.2 that I bought during college and owned for 10 plus years. I am doing a big house renovation and these will be replaced with something. Don't know what yet, but I am 6 months or more away from completion.

Thanks for the comments.

I am actually looking for a new speaker, these look interesting. What kind of power do they need? Can you tell me a little more about their sound? I would be using tubes for amplification, around 40watts, my room is 13.5x17.5 with 9.5 ceiling height. I would also need them shipped?

The speakers love tubes.  Have used them with tubes down to about 8 watts, which is not enough.  They should have about 20 watts plus and they are fine. The designer used 40 watt tube amps in his listening room and at shows.

The sound is effortless and non HIfi.  The bass is very natural like a real instrument not a "wow" bass and the tweeter is detailed but not bright. I listen to a lot of jazz, and am a longtime deadhead, lots of live recordings that are very well recorded; I hate hifi bright sound.  These might not wow your friends when they walk in the room but they will be tapping their feet after a few minutes.

Hope this helps.  I can ship but they weigh about 70 pounds each without boxes.  Let me know if I can be of more help.
