A friend of mine got married and for the guest list album another friend took portraits of everyone with a HAsselbald with Phaseone digital back.

very nice shots! I love the sort of bleached color and the way they are posed. The top one looks a bit pink or magenta on my monitor.....I'd prefer more neutral flesh tones, but I still really like the image.

Yeah, I'd love to have a digital back, even the lowly P20 to use on my Sinar for movements. The 16-bit color plays a big part in the quality of the images from these devices.

Hey!

Those are cool. :D Nice of his friend to do this for the guest list book.

I like the top one. Reminded me of Richard Avedon's :D drphoto, the color of the first one is a bit magenta-ish on my tiny PowerBook G4. Still pretty cool and goes well with his tie I guess.... I like it. :D

Now he should take one of everyone after a few drinks

Wouldn't that be fun to have. :D No need to fake the movement after

well these are not the finished photos.  No post has been done.  Also these were not people put in position.

Hey!

That's why is good. Capturing that short moment when the subject is in their own state of mind :D

Although I see that the focus point is a bit behind around the ears instead of the eyes. Still with some minor color correction on the first one than it could be a keeper. :D

Take care,

These photos are FAKES!  No way those are anywheres near 40megapixels!  I bet it ain't even ONE megapixel!  We've been had!

But seriously, I like the look, but it is pretty grim for a wedding.  It seems more like a fashion advert or something.  The lower fellow is borderline zombie-looking!

Hey sts, I don't think they need much in the way of post. Like I said, I think they're great and I'm not just being polite. I really like the way they are composed. I wouldn't mess w/ the crop at all. I think the sort of 'grimness' nathan mentioned is part of the charm.
