hi every one 
i have more than 5000 hifi tube  in my house . all of this tube are  nos .you cant find rich mid tones in transistor circuits .i know the nos tube will be finish as soon  .and  i  don’t like new products in china .(ussr is better)
The PCL82 tube was designed for use in an audio amplifier ., has nice sound and is not  inexpensive. It consists of two sections  - input  good triode and output nice  pentode.
For better result in  tube sound :
1-   Use tube rectifier –ez80
2-   alps 100k pot
3-   nos  pcl82 like telefunken
We have so many great memorize with   old tube  radio and b&w TV sound .they used single ended tube amp .to day  audiophiles love single end circuits .pcl82  in single ended  stereo

 Is excellent choice  for   your computer and  cd player . I made this amp with  just 30$.

Tow silicon diodes 1n4007  and one full wave vacuum tube  rectifier  ez80can work as bridge circuit .

Alps 2x  100k pot .for tube never use the pot with low  quality.

we use original  parts /pot like alps and matsushita/nos European and usa  hifi tube  with  famous brands/usa  made capacitor …..i believe the tube circuits are simple but  they need musical background of their  parts .
we have some problem with post here .

If you want  to have good sounds  with low cost this schematic is the best .it has unbelievable

we means me and my close friend kave. From last year we collect the hifi tube in iran . and to day we have most of the famous hifi  tubes .but we are tube diyer  not shop  and dealer .we have experience with  6b4g  - f2a -  2a3 – vt25-el84-el34-6l6-6v6-6550-el33-211-838-811-813…in iran. my favorite   tube  is f2a.
  we cant work with ebay  and sale or buy  ,in internet easily .

How do the tube rectifiers work? Can you literally replace a normal set of (4) diodes with them? Voltage range? I am kind of curious because it would be fun to expermint with them perhaps in other applications. Realistically I am curious how clean the power from them is, and if it is just distortion (uneven pattern) that causes more with more tubes and gives that warm sound.

Have you played with using this setup as a line stage before? 2.5w is more than enough for some speakers, and nothing for others, but I would imagine for a line amp it would be plenty for all (I am sure some changes would have to be made or it would be too much). What kind of impedance does the output have?

Normally  tube  rectifiers cannot be set up as a bridge circuit(4 silicon diode) because
Most of them  are  direct filament ,like 5u4.  we should use ct  transformer with full wave rectifier  in power supply . if we have one  normal trans (no  ct )two silicon diode and one full  wave rectifier tube  in hybrid bridge provide dc voltage.
In pcl82 project I used  220-0  ac transformer in power supply  and ez80 with  90mA at 350Vrms, was  good choice. And for hybrid bridge I used tow 1n4007.
I think  with  rectifier  tube sound is much better .one months before I found Japanese virgin of  of 6x4 and europian 6x5 .i want to use these  tubes  in line amp an pre amp .
 tube  rectifiers have a resistance in series with anodes of tubes . for the  best result in clean power , designers use filters between cathode of tube rectifiers  and main voltage line .
