Guys

Anyone ever done a comparison of these two?  I need an amp for the waveguide / horn section of my Yorkville Unity speakers.  Its an easy load (I'm pretty sure 8-ohms and 100+db and 300hz on up) so power's not a big deal (although I like headroom).

I think I'm down to these two amps.  I've had good luck with Tripath amps in the past and the Winsome seems like a good deal.  The Patek has been really well reviewed everywhere you look.

Any suggestions would be great!!

I  for one have been very happy with the Audiosector Patek int amp... I used to have an all tubed int amp and separates.

I wish I had known about Peter Daniel's Patek sooner  would have been off the merry go round long time ago..

Btw  I learned about this fantastic sounding amp through fellow AC members.. Was very lucky to snag one from Agon.

Do not feel the need to change to a different amp anytime soon..  In my system it does nothing wrong.. IMHO

Hey!

   I only heard the Winsome Mouse amp in my system.

   Never heard the Audiosector Patek but it dose look interesting.

   Not sure if any local NYAR people have the Audiosector Patek amp. 

   But so far I've not heard any T-amp or D amp that I could live with yet.

Between the two, the Audiosector Patek is the better built and better sounding amp....
I have heard both.

I have heard both in my system, though not at the same time in a head-to-head comparison. My recollection is that the Patek is a stronger amp overall.

The Patek is a much more powerful Class AB amp using an LMxxxx chip.  I have never heard a high level LM amp but when I have compared tripath 2020 or 2022 chip amps to LM amps I have built I have perfered the Tripath.  Have you considered a fully modded Trends?
