A new speaker in the pipe?
« on: 15 Nov 2008, 01:16 pm »
I really like the Nuforce S9 speaker. But are there any plans of releasing a new pair of higher end speakers? It seems like Nuforce lately primarily been concentrating on smaller desktopspeakers. So, any plans for a new range of speakers that focus entirely on performance? Perhaps a floorstander?

It would be nice if the price could stay in the same range as the S9.

We hope to update the S-9 with beryllium tweeter and a new crossover for CES 2009.

Hi Jason,

Do you think you might possibly (pretty please) have this as an upgrade for current s9 owners?

Thanks

Rod

I believe the upgrade for current S-9 is possible, by replacing the tweeter and crossover.

We worked with Bob Smith to upgrade the tweeter and a new cross over.  And will be evaluating the sound sometime next week.
I will post an update on the upgrade and the new S-9SE pricing.

Hi Casey,

Can you provide a hint on the improvements you heard in the upgrade?  I am after a bit more bass definition and detail from the speaker.

Thanks for your help.

Have to get back to you.  The upgrade has to be done by SP Tech and we have to find out how to do that remotely. Tweeter and cross-over has to be replaced.

Hi Jason,

Thanks and I hope it can be done remotely because I live in Australia  :o.

Luckily the Australian dealer is in the same City that I live in.

Btw what improvements do you hear in the updated speaker?
