As an owner of a Modwright SWL 9.0SE preamp and now a Modwright Transporter, I wonder if they would benefit by running them through a power conditioner? My amp is a Red Wine, so no worries with it.

My Modwright Transporter sounds better plugged into my Running Springs Audio Haley than directly into the wall or my Furman SPR-20i Voltage Regulator.

I have a Modwright TP and a Richard Grey Power Conditioner, I used to feed the TP from the Conditioner via an Acoustic Zen power cord.  Recently I changed the Acoustic Zen for a LessLoss PC and preferred it being fed directly from the wall outlet.

My Transporter and 36.5 are both plugged into my Running Springs Audio Danielle.

All my Modwright stuff (Transporter, dual mono 36.5 two box, Modwright Denon 3910) are all plugged into an Audience Adept Response AR12, and loving it.  Conditioning is a must IMHO.

I have my MW Transporter plugged into a Running Springs Audio Jaco.  I get more detail and refinement from the Trans. when plugged into the RSA vs the wall.

I have my AV equipments after the power conditioners.  I am using PS Audio Power Plant Premier & Chang Lightspeed. I found that cleaner power to the source equipments for the music to the Transporter gave better sound as well.

My SWL9.0SE Sig. is plugged into an RSA Haley while my ModWright Denon DVD- 5900 and tube rectified PS is plugged into another RSA Haley.  My amps and sub are plugged into an RSA JACO.  I've found that the RSA products work much better in my system than the others that I've tried (PS Audio and ExactPower).  YMMV

I had a PS Audio P300 with MWII+ (almost got the upgrade with new caps, Powercell, etc.) which supplied the MW Denon and tubed PS.  The other Haley supplies the SWL9.0SE Sig.  In short, the RSA Haleys lower the noise floor DRAMATICALLY in comparison to the P300.  The JACO changed my system entirely and allowed for much improved transients, attack and dynamics in powering my amps and sub.  It replaced my EP15A.

I heard the same thing with my Haley.  I have tried products from PS Audio, Exact Power, Shunyata, BPT, Richard Gray, and others - yet the RSA products (either Haley or Duke) always stayed.

There is probably a good reason why so many of us are using Running Springs Audio in our Modwright systems.

Bought a RSA Haley and have had it for over a week. I haven't had time to put it in my system but hope to do so today as we are expecting a pretty good snow storm! I know Dan likes his Jaco enough to pack and ship it to most audio shows.

I recently acquired an RS Haley and Furman SPR-20i based on George's success with the two.  I look forward to testing conditioning combos this weekend or next on my system (36.5 DM and an unmodded Transporter).

Also a big Thank You in general to George, David, Arthur, Mike, and the rest of you.  Through direct communication or reading your posts, you have helped me assemble a pretty sweet system.  And it doesn't hurt to buy your used gear when you trade up, either.

This is my first peek down the power conditioner rabbit hole!
I bought a Running Springs Audio, Haley a few weeks ago and just got around to putting it in my system. I have a ModWright Sony 9100, (Transporter in my future???) MWI  SWL 9.0 ( 36.5 coming SOON!) McIntosh MC-402 (MWI KWA-150 when we get caught up......perhaps), And Penaudio Serenade speakers. I have only listened for a short time but think that the RSA is a keeper.

I love listening to subtle percussion details and there is simply more there, there. Piano notes have always sounded pretty good in this setup but the decay of the notes is more obvious.  Perhaps it's the black background, i don't know, but it has certainly raised the level of my audio enjoyment. My wife, the one with the 'golden ears', thinks it is a nice step up as well.

I have recently tried another power conditioner with my Modwright TP, the Kaplan Cable's inline conditioner/cord.

When I use this conditioner/cord plugged into the Modwright, it lowers the noise floor more than just using the RSA Haley.  The combination of the two conditioners produces the lowest noise floor I have heard with my TP.    Besides producing a lower noise floor, it allows lots of details, textures, and nuances to shine through. 

Most importantly, my hands and feet are tapping a little bit more when the Kaplan Cable is in the system, which means I am really enjoying the sound and wanting to listen more.

I am not sure if Mike is offering auditions, but I do know that this is definitely something you should hear on your Modwright gear.

I thought I'd put in my $0.02 on powerconditioning as well: the PS Audio Powerplant Premier.

I've recently added the PS Audio Powerplant Premier. I live in an older part of a city, built ca. 1905, and the electricity in my house is less than ideal: too few groups, not grounded, etc. I will notice sudden changes in light intensity, strange noises through the speakers, and more of that.

Since installing the PPP, noises are all but gone. I also feel that the noisefloor has been lowered substantially, making it much easier to discern the music, and hearing more of it. Piano overtones for instance are much better heard.

I've also upgraded the tubes in my LS36.5, and that has also helped improve my rig (see http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=56330.20.

One thing I forgot to mention there, is the fact that the dynamic range of the system has increased dramatically.
