i have bought from johnny boey before - products were at a good price, and exactly as adwertized.  what are you suspect about?  his tactic of buying low & selling high?

Once I sold a rather low priced item for a fire sale price with some stipulations.  The dude came back saying that there was something else wrong with the item.  Within a week he had the item running, I suspect that there was not much wrong with it but he did take $175 extra from the deal from me.  Sellers beware.  Of course my experience has been personal, it could turn out different for someone else.  Nevertheless, I would proceed with caution.

I have had some experience with them, not positive...they have the mentality of buying stuff cheap and selling it quick, often before they can really assess its condition.  I would suggest due diligence with any item on that list including asking for many detailed pics...

I have seen his listings, but in a hobby that implies a certain degree of class and dignity, I am disgusted by any dealer title that says "pimp", 'cause you KNOW someone's going to get screwed.

i sold a pair of monoblock amps to joey and he gave me a fairly decent price. i had no luck whatsoever with audiogon trying to sell the amps, so i was pleased to deal with him. i've never purchased anything from him before, but i would have no issue with doing so. hind sight being 20/20, i probably shouldn't have included those 14 Ei KT90 Type III tubes. live and learn.

Sorry for bringing this up. It seems some people are not happy with this site for one reason or another. It was new to me, so I thought I would throw it out there.

Than again some people have had decent dealings with them.
