Sony has introduced a new audio format, the Blu-spec CD. It combines Sony's Sony's Blu-ray Disc technology with the ability to play on standard CD players. Sixty titles are initially available on the format. The press release was released in Japan and there is no indication which territories will have the product.

Just what I always wanted, all high quality music to be only Sony produced... I have to buy their shitty in need of modification, tons of them, player, expensive, and only listen to music that they do... I want to be excited but all I hear is $$$$$$$ on top of things already almost too good at times.
