Introduction:
The Behringer DCX2496 is the processor needed when it comes to line level crossover
applications (its processed in the digital domain!!) and some light system room equalization
as well. The downfalls of this commericial peice is the lack of quality of parts used within. We
have designed some really great modification improvement and rebuild packages to skyrocket the
performance of the DCX2496 to stratospheric levels no matter which way you wish to utilize
this unit in your application. We feel these rebuilds (except the basic analog mod) are the most optimal ways to modify the DCX2496 and all other ways
are compromised. If your shopping for modifications for the DCX and the company is still ultilizing the Input/Output board in their mod you are overpaying and the sound will be  underproducing!

We offer 4 different cutting edge modification rebuild packages for different
budgets, needed performance, and application.

Analog Modification package-
This is a parts swap type of upgrade. This is what most other modification firms are doing to this processor.
This features Power supply mods, input circuit opamp and capacitor
upgrades, some unnecessary stock parts deletions, 24/96 clocking circuit upgrade to DEXA
D-Clock and Output section opamp and capacitor upgrades. This package gets rid of the
stock harshness and hardness and bring out alot more music and real live sound through
the DCX for a much more enjoyable musical experience. However there is still compromises due to the
stock input and output signal board... and is only recommend for the person on a budget.

Analog Plus Rebuild package-
This is a radical improvement over the analog modification pacakge. The entire stock DCX
input/ouput board is completely removed (heck yeah!!!) and the analog inputs A+B and Outputs 1-4 are
"transformer coupled" via high performance signal coupling transformers to the input and
then the outputs of the 2496 circuit board. This is the most optimal way that I know to do the
input and output circuits for the best sound. Transformer coupling also isolates noise, since
both the inputs and outputs are passive coupled, this will effectively increase the S/N ratio as
the transformer block high frequency noise being generated by your other equipment
connecting to the DCX. This modification rebuild removes the signal parts such as opamps,
signal coupling capacitors, signal relays and such for the best sound. The Power Supply is
modified with superior parts. The 2496 DSP board is modified with capacitor replacements,
DEXA UWB ultra high performance voltage regulators to power all circuits, and the stock
2496 clocking is replaced with the DEXA D-clock to reduce jitter dramatically. This package
is intended for the serious CS-2 or such user who wants the "real deal" out of the DCX2496.
The difference between a stock DCX and this mod package is night and day. Complete
"transformation".  The inputs and outputs can be either XLR (true balanced) or RCA all
through, just let us know which you perfer.

Analog EXTREME Rebuild Package-
This is our "cost no limits" analog modification package for the most demanding customer
that uses the analog inputs and outputs. Like in the Analog Plus mod package, the inputs
and output are completely transformer coupled. This package uses the best sounding
premium grade signal coupling transformers we offer for the absolute best sound. The same
power supply mods are done as in analog plus package. The DSP board is modified the
same also as analog plus package, however we install the DEXA Neutron Star Flagship
Reference Clock for the 2496 processing circuit for the lowest amount of noise and jitter on
the reference clock signal possible. This is insane!  If you want the best sounding DCX2496
in the world to revelutionize the sound of your custom project or CS-2 speaker system you
need to take advantage of this State of the Art performance that is found no where else!
The inputs and outputs can be either XLR (true balanced) or RCA all through, just let us
know which you perfer.

100% Digital DCX2496 Rebuild Package-
For the purists, ASi is first to offer a complete 100% true digital input to output Behringer
DCX2496. Basically you connect your digital source (ie: computer audio, cd transport, etc..)
to a now optimally modified SPDIF input circuit on INPUT C. On the side of the unit there is 3
SPDIF rca outputs (1 coaxial out per 2 channels) that can be connected to a digital
receiver(s) or processor. The signal inside the Behringer stays 100% pure digital! The
power supply is modified and the DSP board is modified with capacitor replacements, DEXA
UWB Voltage regulator and the stock clocking is replace with the DEXA D-Clock to reduce
jitter dramatically.  The stock analog inputs and outputs still work and are 100% functional.
We can also modify those circuits on request. This pacakage was designed for the purist
who wants a complete 100% digital system using panasonic AV receivers or other products
that will allow for a digtal input and volume control at the amplifier.

Everyone who owns the CS2's or other speaker systems that can use the DCX for crossver
applications needs one of these mod packages to really experience the most out of those
speakers!

We can offer new modified units for all any kind of modification/rebuild.

FAQ-
There is alot of options as far as modifications is concerned on the market. What makes yours a better choice?

Very simple. We entered the behringer modification market to provide the most innovative and best performance modifications and rebuilds using the best sounding techniques possible. We did not just want to be "another behringer modifier", but the only company providing a fully transformer coupled i/o analog stage style mod and 100% digital input to output mod to keep the signal in the digital domain. These are innovative techniques.

What is the warranty for the modifications?
We will warranty the unit for 2 years straight (fully transferable). We have not had a single problem with these units.

Can I have RCA's instead of XLR's?
Absolutely! Just tell us the configuration you want and we will put the needed connection in place. This does not change the cost of the modifications. If you are using XLR's to RCA adapters you are compromising your performance with that extra connection.

What else can you comment on about the DCX and the design of the stock unit?
First and foremost thing, the Input/Output board. This board runs the entire backplane of the unit. This board is SEVERLY compromised in its design. I cannot stress enough that if your unit has signal running through this circuit board your sound is never going to be optimal. There is just way too many signal parts hindering the sound. A modifier can replace some of these parts (ie: signal opamps, signal coupling capacitors, wiring, etc..) (this is what we do in our basic analog modification package), but the core issue is still at hand and the sound is always going to be "pinched" or compressed ultimately in comparison to doing a transformer coupled analog input and output stage. This simplifies the circuit completely. No signal capacitors, no signal resistors, no signal relays! Just keep this information in mind.

What is the 100% digital modification designed to be used with?
The 100% digital mod is designed to be used with 100% digital modified panasonic XR55, XR57 or XR700 units. I am not going to call the panny units "receivers" because when we are done with them, they are dedicated "biamplifiers" with built in volume control. You can use 1 panny to run a set of CS-2 speakers after we are done with them. This is the best way I know of to get the best sound, keep the signal pure and digital and the jitter as low as possible.
