Up for sale is an Audio Experience Symphonies Tube Pre-Amp with many modifications. They include
1. Replaced stock coupling capacitors with Auricaps and RTI Audio Caps.
2. New power switch, new balance pot, and new RCA's on output.
3. Deep cryogenically treated and de-magnetized gold Furutech IEC Inlet.
4. New F&T Filter Capacitor in power supply.

Tubes included are an RCA 6x4, an EI (Old Production) 12ax7, and 2- Mullard (New Sensor) 12ax7's.

All sockets, pots, and switches, treated with Deoxit. Unit guaranteed to not be DOA.

Considering all the modifications, I am asking $300 shipped to the CONUS. I prefer Paypal (fees apply). If interested, please PM me.

Thanks for looking.

I have a Symphonies R that uses the same tube compliment with different PS. It is an amazing Pre and made me sell off My classic ARC pre.
Dont know if its apples to apples but should be similar

It's a standard input; that is you could connect an iPod or an 8-track player  :thumb: through it.

Do you have the tube shields and the plate that covers the socket wiring?

I asked the original owner about them and I was told this one did not come with them. Whether it did or not, I don't know, but honesty I really don't think they are necessary anyway.

From what I have read Ys Audio has in the last year or so upgraded the parts in the Symphony Plus. Don't know about the basic model. What is different about yours?

Hi Ray. This one is different in the PS board, it is also the different (Original chassis that TNT reviewed) Looks like the OP did all the suggested mods with good caps and the internet "must do's"

FYI OP Ray cant see the pics so good descriptions are a must.

Nice to hear from you again Ray

Thanks. Haven't looked at much audio stuff lately. had moved, and now trying to get out of financial hole. This economy sucks.

The newer symphony preamps at least the plus version is supplsed to be a real killer now with the various upgrades. Ys Audio should get a newer unit back to TNT-audio for an eval.

It is damn good and I love mine. Sure it aint no super high end Pre but for the money its great. One warning is it sounds flabby with super low input impedance SS amps!

Bummer, my SKA is relatively low impedance for SS preamps. Well, it's looking like either a GG preamp with lots of mods/better parts, or maybe the Eastern Minimax

There is a knockoff of the GG preamp from some Chinese oufit out of Hong Kong. He uses only one transformer. The parts are better quality. By the time it is shipped here to the states, it would probably be about the same price as the transcendent GG kit. Oh well, so much for hijacking this thread. heheh. Have a good one. TTYL
