Excellent.  It my be buried, but one of the strengths about Odyssey is the upgrade path.  Perhaps a few words about this may bring new people into the family.  Also, I heard a rumor about a trade-in policy when jumping to Kismet.  If true, a policy statement is powerful.

Great looking site.

I know it is still in Beta but the mouseover menus don't work in Firefox 3.0.3, they pop down but disappear as soon as I mouse down.
IE and Google Chrome work just fine.
Is it just me?

Awesome, it brings a whole new and proper perspective into Odysseys offerings. Up until know I was interested but couldnt be bothered with scouring the net and message boards to sell myself on the inner workings of your offerings. Good Job!!

PS. The drop down menues could use a sticky feature so they wont disappear

Hi guys, you know I was a little bit (very in fact) worried about how would you find this new web site, after all the waiting it needed to be at least a nice and functional one. I am glad to read now that in general you find it is a nice website design.

Regarding menus:

I tested the functionality with major web browsers and of course Firefox 3.03 and I don't have the problem you have WHG, as menu runs on javascript it maybe is an issue depending on our own computer, anywat let me check. ( I just checked again with no problem)

I will also find if I can make menu static so it doesn't collapse so fast.

I intended to include an image map menu at the home page but didn't succeed because I had to include all products and home page looked very cluttered.

Maybe I could also work on a secon navigation menu, a drop list or something like that or a website map with active links, but it will take a little as I first want to have site contnents finished.

Thanks for your comments and anything else you have to say please let me know.

Now that's what I'm talking about Eduardo,,, very very nice website for Klaus. I went straight to the Lorelei's of course and was happy to see everything explained. Especially like the pictures of those massive crossovers. Back when I bought my Lorelei's, it took me months to simply find out what type drivers were being used. Not much info back then. I'm hoping you'll do the same with the Syrens. I'm also anxious to see the Kismet line up and working with much needed product info. :D

Cheers,
Robin

Site looks very nice.  I'm running Firefox 3.03 and had the same type of issues on the menus.  What I found was that it's only the very far left side (where the blue circle is) that will let the menu 'stick' when you move the mouse down.  Shouldn't be a big deal to fix.

Hey Eduardo,
I noted that you are the Mexico dealer for Odyssey. So, did you simply take matters into your own hands & volunteer to create a new site for Odyssey Audio? I'm certain that you have discussed this with Klaus. So, Klaus wants a new site for Odyssey Audio?
Curious minds would like to know. Thanks!

I am very happy you liked it, I was really uncertain how you will like it or not.

regarding the new website, it will be/ is the official one, under Klaus approval of course.

Now I tell you, I have been in contact with Klaus for over 9 years now, since 1999, after some changes at Odyssey I got my first pair of Stratos Mono in mid 2000.

I created then a spanish language web site for Odyssey Audio, it was then a section within my main site, later Klaus changed hiw web site and I did it also, always trying to present the same basic aspect. In 2002 Klaus redesigned his website but then it was the last formal change. For some time he linked to my mexican Odyssey site because I had it more or less updated. Klaus is so busy alwas and tried to make a new one for long time, really, sum th ecrap service from hosting company and you get a real mess. I offered myself to design freely a new web site time ago but finally I was honored to receive the go ahead from Klaus and make his new web site.

I am really pleased because I think over the years I have gained some perspective on Odyssey products progression and evolution, the add on upgrade concept over a main design (in amplifiers), and that's what I intended to show in web site and also detailed information that we as users are always eager to get and watch: parts, names, specs, images, etc.

Now I do not know if it makes sense to keep my spanish web site as te english one will be updated more regularly, anyway I am doing tha same version but over a black background as my main website design is.

Eduardo,
Thank you for the explanation. Looks like you are a devout fan of Odyssey products (they are very good sounding as they have excellent lineage) & Klaus (swell guy) & it is indeed very nice of you to offer web services for busy Klaus. I'm sure that he really appreciates your time & help. What better today that a fully updated website of one's products - the customers & wanna-be customers will love it.

Hello Bombaywalla, I think you are in India Right ?

Let me tell you, what is even better, I am open to give away files and templates to other Odyssey representatives, under Klaus' consent so all other can match the same aspect and more important to have a web presence in their own languaje.

I am trying to finalize my spanish language web site for Odyssey, you'll find out it is practically the same, with different background color, home page and with a mexican flag besides Odyssey's logo.
