Here is my exercise in open baffle loudspeakers; six 12" woofers, two 5" lower mids, two 2" dome mids, one ribbon tweeter per side.
Passive crossover at 300, 1200 and 4500 Hz, cca 87 db sensitivity. Sounds quite effortless especially at lower frequencies.
Dimensions of the baffle are 215x60x6 cm.

Are you using high Q bass drivers?

I really like the use of all those bass drivers - I imagine the bass , mid bass and lower mid is approaching 'perfection' ---- How's Johnny Cash sound on these?  - I recognize the CD in one of your piles

The woofers have a Qts of 0.9.
You`re correct, the sound has tremendous weight and power, it keeps me in constant amazement!
Sorry that cd is not mine, I listen mostly to Bluegrass, Jazz and Classical, but vocals are excellent.
I don`t like the sound of mini monitors....

In my experiance line arrays of high QTS high efficiency woofers (like bass guitar drivers) on an open baffle is the easiest way to get great bass- Are you biamping?

I know what you mean and I intend to try pro drivers (18sound) in the near future.
I haven`t tried biamping yet, but will one of these days.
BTW, I have the greatest respect for your open baffle projects you made through the years. They were a great inspiration for me!

Woofers are of chinese (no name) origin and you are correct about the Dayton Fountek drivers.

Thanks Russell, I am sure Timi will be glad you liked his playing, too. There are probably about 30 clips at Youtube featuring his playing and one would probably need one and a half hour to hear them all.
As for my site, there is only a small number of projects I did throughout the years, but I believe the most interesting are yet to come.
