Bob, Go to the gallery link at the top of the page (i.e. next to the links to "home, circles, systems, etc). Start a gallery and download the pics from your computer. That is fairly self explanatory.
Then OPEN a picture from your gallery, right click, select properties. Copy the location
http://etc Be sure to open the picture otherwise you only copy the location for the thumbnail.
Now you are ready to insert it into your post. While composing select the image icon (it is the photo--second from the left in the bottom row). You will get two brackets like this [img]
Click in between the [img] [img] and paste the location of the picture.
Easy once you know how but kind of hard to figure out. At least it was for me until someone explained it. Now I pass it on. Karmic debt repaid. Just a couple thousand more to go.
