I'm selling my PhD.  I've had it for 5 years and really like it a lot. I would not have considered selling it but for the fact that I have changed over to a Soundsmith Strain Gauge cartridge and will not have any moving coil cartridges.  The Strain Gauge does not use a phono pre.  I rate the condition of my PhD as excellent.  I can't find any scratches on it, it has never been repaired, and it has always worked superbly.

The PhD is a collaboration between Acoustic Sounds and Ron Sutherland.  It is still available new, and it still costs the $3,000 that I paid.  You can find reviews of it here:

I'll include 16 good (but not brand-new) Eveready Alkaline batteries and the additional high-gain cards that cost about $65.  The unit will ship double-boxed in its original box and packing, with its original owner's manual.
