Unless you have an "LFE" input,  you may have to use a "Y" cable to get the signal to the left and right channels because many sub-woofers have dual wound voice coils. You'd be runnin' on only one cylinder, if you get my meaning

Wayne is correct with many subs. However, with our subs you won't need Y-Adapters, they're not dual voice coils.  You can leave on all the time. BUT, either turn off, or turn volume all the way down when plugging RCAs in the inputs or you'll get a big THUMP.
