Small footprint integrated?
« on: 18 Oct 2008, 02:58 am »
I'm looking for an integrated amp for my desktop that can output between 20w-150w into 8ohm speakers. I don't really have a price range set, just want to see whats available.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. ^^

Biggie.

Not sure how small you are looking for but RWA Sig 30.2 is smaller than your average integrated.

I have Naim's SuperNait, it is relatively small and a very versatile amp imho.

While not a single unit, there's the Parasound Zpre and Zamp which are small footprint and stackable.

I've always wanted to hear the Exposure 2010S integrated.  The price isn't outrageous and its fairly compact.  Art Dudley's review on Stereophile, http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/1105exposure/  really fascinated me.  He is really one of the best audio journalists always providing at least an entertaining read.  This doesn't necessarily mean that I share his tastes especially in music (can't get into Joanna Newsom's "Ys" no matter how I try.)
At any rate, the Exposure looks to be a terrific piece at its price point.

The Bryston B60 is a low profile amp.  It runs pretty hot and needs more side ventilation than top and bottom, if that changes anything.  Excellent value used IMO.

I am running a Little Dot T-100 digital amp to drive a pair of SP Techs for my computer. Very nice.

Also, some of the last generation of Linn integrated amplifiers.
