Sound distribution amp?
« on: 16 Oct 2008, 01:46 pm »
I am running sonance in wall/in ceiling for my home theater setup and also my whole house has speakers strategically placed in ceiling throughout the house.  I have a total of 14 speakers and 2 outside all weather Sonance ALL weather ones.  I am running a Denon AVR 4806  for my main home theater now I am in need for a "Sound distribution amp" (according to my tech installer) which I hired to do the wiring and and setup.  The speakers are Sonance 622TR's...

Any help would be appreciated...

Rob,

As much as I dislike class D amps for their's lack of finess in the mid/highs, I recognized their incredible efficiency and appreciate their cool operating temperature.  My brother in law uses several ATI amps stacked up and has to run a fan to cool the closet.  May be Kevin at DIY Cable still has those recertified Hypex units to make a multi-channel amp for cheap?

Doesn't Sonance make mega channel amps?  Russound?
Do you have volume control in each room?

Oh wait here's one

but it looks like only 12 channels.
