G1 phone vs 3G

hmmmm, curious as the 2 phone will compete. Iphone are HOT sellers, more than a million phones were sold in one weekend alone, wow~ Now, every other phone manufacturer is trying to cash in. Any opinions?

As an obsessive iPhone user since 1 week after its release, I don't see much appeal to the competitors

True, although the new RIM Storm is intriguing.

As a 3 week Iphone 3G user, the phone is an unparalleled device to do all sort of things besides calling. The one thing that I do a lot is to download and load up free apps, use some a lot and some just once. I have actually been purging many apps that are not as useful as I though. Battery life is not as long as I wished especially when doing a lot of internet. Nevertheless, in contrast to other Smartphones I have previously had, the Iphone interface make other OS system look like a child's game.

I have had an iPhone (1st gen) for about a year and have loved it. I'm receiving a G1 phone soon and am looking forward to trying it out...

(btw - there have been reports this week that T-Mobile has sold out their pre-orders for the G1, which analysts believe puts their pre-sales at about 1.5 million units. iPhone only sold 1 million units their opening weekend...)

And don't forget the application that puts a beer on the screen that then moves when you move the screen, so it can appear as if you're drinking the beer.

That's a good one. My fav is the light saber app (because of the looks I get when I swoosh it around in public).
