A little over two weeks ago we made some changes to our phone service. What we didn't realize was that voice mail was disabled. We didn't actually discover that until someone sent an email wondering why they couldn't leave voice mail.
Right now, we still haven't had the time to get it taken care of . . . I know, seems like a little thing, but we have been really busy building and shipping. Add the Holidays into the mix, and the voice mail just hasn't been a big priority. In fact, we're rather enjoying not needing to spend a lot of time wading through a lot of spam kind of messages, etc. to get to the 1 in 10 actual customers that would like a call back.
I'm seriously considering leaving the voice mail disabled with just a message on how to reach us via. email or the website. It would save quite a bit of time, time that can be spent actually serving our customers. What do you think? How important is it to be able to leave a message vs. sending email? Any opinions are appreciated.
