Oooops, I guess I jumped the gun.

You should post a picture of yourself.  I hope to be in as good a shape in 15 years.

Don't have anything recent but here is one of my partner Lillian Muller and I a couple years ago

I still look like that only older

I also still lift some good weights for a Geezer.

The YouTube Below was a couple months ago, but I did the same thing only a couple days ago.

I wish. aa  No it was more like four and a half, but you can see it does make the bar bend (spring) a bit.

I can attest that it provides an interesting challenge to "rising" once in the bottom position.

Thanks again all.

Imperial, yes Lillian is a great friend, and I should clarify "BUSINESS PARTNER".

She is now 57, and looks 30.  We work together giving seminars and workshops on Staying Young, Fit, and in her case Beautiful.

Here is an article from some Norwegian mag:

While many strive to keep Fiscally Fit, we stress it is never too early to lay down the foundation to stay Physically Fit.  While we are all dealt a hand of genetic potential, there is little doubt that the way we play that hand makes a large difference in how long we stay in the game.

Imperial, yes Lillian is a great friend, and I should clarify "BUSINESS PARTNER". As a Norwegian, I'm in the know about her, she is revered in Norway - thought of as a wonderfull woman! And indeed she looks awesome for her years, indeed she does!

While many strive to keep Fiscally Fit, we stress it is never too early to lay down the foundation to stay Physically Fit.  While we are all dealt a hand of genetic potential, there is little doubt that the way we play that hand makes a large difference in how long we stay in the game. Me and my brother started sports when we were 7 years, then there is martial arts and cycling and on my brothers part lifting weights, on your level I believe , I think he squats, benches ( I think it was 385lbs at 18 years) and deadlifts  just about what you can, so he's massive.

A number of strongmen (more like local heroes, but nonetheless!) are actually in my family, as far back as the 1930's I believe, as you say, some things come with the genes, and other things come with healthy living  :thumb: I am forever thankfull that my dad started us with sports and track and field as young as 7 years! I'm 35 now, and looking at other people with their back problems and what have you really, I have no problems! It's great!  :D But, and this we must stress John, it's NEVER to late to start getting fit!!! The body is a wonderful machine! Able to get into shape even if you start working out at 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80!!! The sooner the better, of course!
It is a fantastic investment, and it is a great asset!

My brother to the left here. Note the Bill Pearl hairdo - He is a fan of Mr Pearl  :D - And adheres to his principles, not the vegetarian side, obviously...
(not me to the right - just my brothers friend I think)
