The Australian Pink Floyd
« on: 9 Oct 2008, 11:42 pm »
is coming to the Fabulous Fox - St. Louis - November 7-8

I was a little late in acquiring tickets, but I did get (4) lower balcony center on the 7th
Here is info on the show...

Fox Concert presents, for the first time in over 25 Years, Pink Floyd's legendary rock opera ‘THE WALL’ live in concert and in its entirety performed by The Australian Pink Floyd Show.
This world premiere tour marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s seminal 1979 classic rock opera ‘THE WALL’ and features an amazing new production including animation, lasers and inflatables.  The concert concludes with a special Pink Floyd greatest hits encore. The work has not been performed live on this scale for over 25 years, not since Pink Floyd toured it themselves. But now it is back, in all its glory, performed by the band that the London Daily Mail say, “do Floyd better than Floyd do themselves.”

I have never seen these guys live, but I do have their dvd concert that they did in Europe dated 2004.
I thought the concert started off a little weak, but then they got better and better in play and sound with visuals that were outstanding.

I believe they have played here the last 3 or 4 years in a row.
Has anybody seen these guys ?
If so, what did you think ?

I saw them twice on their DSOTM tour a few years ago here in the northeast. If you close your eyes, you'd swear it's the original band. If you open them, you'll see a pink kangaroo floating around (the pig). They're one of the best PF tribute bands around. The Wall should be good. Thanks for the heads up!
