Lovely lil speaker, both visually and sonically.

Do your research and see that these speakers have a great reputation....and deservedly so!
Sound is smooth and musical, yet still detailed.  It leans towards a touch of warmth,  contributing to its sweet and non-fatiguing presentation.  Surprising bass punch and output for such a small package.

Not particularly fussy about setup, but I think they prefer a wide spread and slight tilt back to open up the stage.  Easy to drive, they sing with tubes and solid state alike.  I used a Vista Audio el-34 tube integrated (40 wpc), and Redgum RGi35 SS integrated (35 wpc) , both with great results.

Color is natural Beech (I believe) and the fit and finish is exemplary, with beautiful full wraparound veneers.  Overall condition is very good.  There are a few very small indentations on both top surfaces, but the veneer is not broken.  Around the bottom of each speaker are a few small nicks and hairline scratches.  Minor stuff, nothing too serious.

This single wire two-way has an elegant look and small footprint, and is very easy to place into most decors.      34 high x 7.5 wide x 10 deep.

Included are the grill covers and spikes, but I do not have the boxes.

Great speaker.
If I had 600 $ I didn't need, I would buy these guys in a second.
I had the same speaker but the Haydn's in Beech, loved them to death till they were wrested from my hands, by my uncle. Now he loves em. :)

A good 7 or 8 years ago I owned this same model.  They are a very smooth and sweet sounding speaker with impressive bass output for their size, very nice build quality,  and at $600/pair, someone is getting a great deal  8)

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys.

The Bachs are indeed nice and I'm sure I will miss them when they are gone.
But the taste they gave me of the VA house sound has me itchin' to move up the line!

For Thanksgiving I will probably be driving down the I-95 corridor between NY and Richmond VA.

So a dropoff, pickup or meeting along the way can be arranged.

I'm not the original owner, so I'm not sure of the age.
Serial Number:  94424
Maybe if you call Sumiko (the importer/distributor), they can help?

They are the previous version, not the current Bach Grand.

I live in Long Beach, Long Island  11561.
It is a suburb just east of NYC.

Please use PM for further communications.

Thx,
John

I can't believe no one bought these speakers :duh:

This is a no brainer, these speakers are a steal for $ 600. throw the right stuff in front of them and you would need to spend a lot more to get this kind of tone. Very, Very, musical.
The older ones are better than the new ones.
Guys buy this speaker for your son or daughter. Give them the gift of music.
