Quested Speakers

Listened to a pair of Quested 2-way powered speakers on the weekend - had a bit of a shoot out with some local recording engineers.

Anyone had experiences with Quested speaker products?

Hi Eric,

Thanks - that was quite a read. John seems to have a serious dislike of anything Pro?

I was quite impressed with the pair or Quested speakers I auditioned at home. They have one hell of a soundstage and they were very smooooooooooth sounding.  I am a big fan of Hans Zimmers music and recordings and I know he uses Quested and has for many years.

I have a full Set of Quested Speakers for Sale. Have the LT20, LT10.

LT8s are now sold.

All have Quested Amplifier and are setup as Fully Active with Amplifier Filter Cards.

Reason for sale was the move into a smaller premises and away from Home Theatre. The Quested Speakers are by far the best home theatre speakers I have heard. I have owned the Seaton, JTR and Danley in the past.

I have a friend who purchased a custom 4 way, quad amp, set up for a custom home installation that was more about fitting a location/decor than high end audio.  Nice driver selection, IMO. They don't build any drivers.  Roger Quested was very nice and clearly knowledgeable.  The crossover is a rebranded XTA, and I can't remember what brand of amp, but digital and very high power.

MC2 brand amplifiers. MC 1250 for the woofers, MC 750 for mids and tweeters.

Yeah, interesting.

The gear used at every step in the production of recorded music is worthless when it comes to playing it at home.

Strange perspective.
