St. Louis gathering Saturday, October 18

After talking with Rex, we will be having a shindig on October the 18th!
I'll be firing up the grilles for some tasties, so bring your favorite victuals, beverages, and source gear if you want.
We have a lot on tap to listen to in different rooms.
Living room- Thiel CS 3.6s, Accuphase integrated
Vintage bedroom #1- Klipsch shorthorn, Wright Audio SET amp, tube preamp
Vintage study #2- Dynaco A25s, Sansui 5050 receiver
HT downstairs- Klipsch RF7s, RSW 15 sub, Carver 2000 receiver
Main system- Triamped Klipschorns with active crossover, Juicymusic Blueberry preamp, Nakamichi CD player
Vintage system- AR2a speakers, HK Citation II amp
New to us system- Thiel CS1.2s, McIntosh 1900
Outdoor rebel yell system- Altec VOTTs, Sansui G9000DB
This is a chance to hear some good time aligned speakers, varied two way speakers, and vintage stuff. With the plethora of gear on hand we won't be switching much, so if you want to hear a certain setup, come early and help!

hello Dave,
thank you for the invite- you have a ton of cool gear/systems that I'm sure many of us would like to hear. After listening to the vintage Altecs at Scott's powered by Willies 300B I'm definitely ready for more classic gear. Who am I kidding- I would like to hear both sets of Thiels just as much.
It looks like you're located in Mehlville and I bet the folks in Oakville would be complaining with rebel yell system.
Please keep us posted as the date gets closer and as we can bring side dishes.

We have most everything ready to go. I got permission from my wife to set up the Christmas tree KHorns downstairs in the kitchen(a long story,) so they will be running with custom SET amps and a JuicyMusic Merlin preamp, or a Marantz Model 19 receiver from back in the day.
Chris, Willie, and Sturgus should have directions to the shindig. If anyone else wants to attend and my email doesn't make it your way, call me at 314-651-9396. We will be cooking from 8am to 8 pm.

Dave,
Wish I could make it but I've got plans for Saturday.
Not sure if you remember, I came by a few years ago with Thom Palazollo (from Flips) when you hosted a gathering. I brought along my 2A3 and we listened to your Klipsch collection downstairs (KHorns, Lascalas, Belles). Mighty tasty sounding speakers
Looks like you've got new gear. I'll make sure next time I get my schedule free so I can make it. Be sure to take pictures and post them here in the thread. Should be a great time!

I'd love to attend Saturdays event (as I really enjoyed my first encounter with everyone at Scotts). Please email directions and whatever culinary needs I may fulfill. I'll be there in the afternoon.

Harry, you should have an email. Call me if it doesn't make it!
I still remember the TJ meshplates, Scott. I didn't buy Thom's 6SN7 preamps, but as luck would have it, I came across his custom built 2A3 integrated stereo SET amp about a year ago. Everything is a lot better integrated than it was when you made it over last time...I was still taking baby steps back into stereo stuff then. The La Scalas and Belles are at friends' homes now, but we still are at over a ton of speakers, mostly good stuff. I missed your gathering for our six year old's soccer tournament.

have to agree with Paul one this one & the Jumbalaya was terrific.
Dave your house is terribly cool and I couldn't believe how much vintage/cool gear you've amassed. I liked both sets of K-horns and I really wanted to hear the SET gear in the main room. The triamped setup is pretty cool though and the beasts just
It's a whole 'nother segment of the hobby and one that is equally enjoyable. I have to shake my head often in this hobby as so many of the great designs are over 50 years old now.

Thanks Dave
For having us over on Saturday. I can only speak for myself, but it was a great time. Your collectionsof Audio gear was
a treat to behold.
The Tri-amped K-horn setup was an experience.
Thanks for a great time.
Have fun
