What a multi-faceted life he had.  A confident, intelligent, great looking Hollywood superstar who was able to keep a marriage together for 50 years, become a brand name in auto racing, salad dressing, popcorn and something like 20 of the top 100 films of our time.  An activist and non-profit leader known worldwide, yet never came across as preachy IMO.  I met him once, later in life, and he came across as a sincere thoughtful human being.  He will be missed, but his films live on.  RIP Paul Newman.

Paul Newman was a "Good Man" which is the highest compliment I can pay a fellow man.
He was someone who for 40+ years in my life when asked who would you like to trade places with, the answer remained the same Paul Newman.
He was a person who was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside, and how rare is that.

Paul Newman still is the acid test for a generational divide.  You can always tell how old a person is by asking the question, "What is the first thing that comes to mind when I say the name Paul Newman"  The first time I asked it and the answer was  tomato sauce, I knew I had gotten old.

Paul Newman starred in many great roles.  Robert Redford and Paul were a great duo back in the 70's.  He will certainly be missed!

Paul Newman was a great human being.  He was multi-talented and socially caring, and a very good race car driver.  Last month when we found out he had cancer, some racing friends and I contacted his home race track, Lime Rock and requested that a corner or a section of the track be named after him. They replied that they were interested in naming several sections of the track, and was considering one section named for Newman.
