Im looking at the onkyo PR-SC885P pre/amp which seems to have all the bonuses of the new HT systems but without a built in amplifier.  I'm going to pare this with either a 5 channel emotiva or a 2 & 3 channel emotiva.  What do you all think?  Any comments?

I have that with the MPS-1 and it works fine.  Might consider more power for the center channel though.  350 to 500 watts.

You might consider this new processor coming out as well:  http://trinnov.com/optimizer.php

The Trinnov is actually not a room, it is a room correction device. New processors from Outlaw and posibbly Sherwood are going to incorporate Trinnov in their processors over Audyssey as room correction software. I am very excited to see what Trinnov can do.

I have the Onkyo PR-SC885p hooked up to Emotiva XPA2 for my front channels and XPA5 for the rest of the channels. I am very pleased with the setup. I am running Salk Sound HT2's and Salk Veracity Center channel up front with Swann surrounds and an Epic Tower sub.
