Another inexpensive speaker cable I can heartily recommend is Furutech FS502 @ $5 a foot. I've been listening to this cable for a couple of months now and it is silly good for the price. It does have the Furutech house sound, which is very open, neutral, and not rolled off in the treble. Not to say it's "zippy," harsh, or unbalanced. It's just not euphonically mellow. Compared to Analysis Plus Oval 9 and Kimber 4tc, it sounds a little more lively. I had a $900 pair of Sonoran Plateau Deserts in the system before these and I'm not feeling let down with the substitution. (The Sonorans were worrisomely heavy for the lightweight Eichmann Speaker Pods connectors on my amp.) Like the Supra Ply 3.4s, they have a shield. I use them with the screen disconnected at the speaker end and the amp end is connected with a ground wire to earth. Very quiet background used in this way. This is the way the TNT-Audio reviewer used the Supra Ply 3.4s cables as I recall.
